It is... strange, and somewhat discomforting to feel yourself changing this way. It seems tied to the full moons- I noticed rather more feathers after my second moon here.

So what kind of monster are we turning into exactly? Do the changes remain after the full moon ends?

It varies according to each person, as far as I've been able to tell. I'm sure you've noticed the variety of peoples in the city. And yes, they do- somewhat diminished at times, but not always.

Obviously... I'm asking about you specifically.

Ah? My mistake, then. For my part, it seems to be the nature of a Harpy to be the one that I have acquired here. Since you said that you were still using the magic you were used to, then- might I assume you would be considered a Witch?

Yeah, I am a "witch."

They're more bird-like creatures- thus the wings. [He spreads them out a little, for effect, and adds:]. Perhaps you've heard of them by another name- sirens?

[ Which makes Vanitas gesture to Thancred and his spread out wings. Yes, being a witch is a better alternative to being a monster in the most literal of senses. He's already one as he sees it. ]

But no. I haven't heard anything like that. Maybe the places I've been to just don't have those sorts of creatures.

I suppose that's true enough. Though Ventus doesn't seem overly bothered by any of it.

[ Not outwardly at any rate. Maybe on the inside? Hard for Vanitas to know like this. ]

Ventus? That's… ah, dare I presume that to be the name of your other half?

That's his name, yes. A name I had to give up when we were separated.

It's a name that was given to me as more of a descriptor of my origins than anything else.
