My mast didn't have time for any of that. None of that stuff matters when you're just trying to reach the end of your goal.

In some way, yes. At first he thought that it could be created simply by my other half and myself clashing. It nearly worked...

However it's creation can only occur when Thirteen who wield the power of Darkness clash against Seven guardians of Light.

So, really, I am only a piece of a greater whole.

[ Okay, so very defensive. He's not hurt, no, but he's expecting it to.It's a knee jerk reaction because he's only ever had to fight. No hugs. Nothing good and wholesome at all. ]

I was not mistreated. Everything that was done was just to make me stronger and capable.

Yes, you were. The love you should have for yourself has been taken away from you. You are not stronger without it. You deserve it back.

Marie you can't take away something that I never had in the first place. Just because you don't realize that I'm a monster doesn't mean that I'm not one. What I am, what I've always been, is the manifestation of the Darkness that lingered in the heart of someone that doesn't really exist anymore.

[ He doesn't see it because he can't. If he accepts the fact that he deserves all of the love and affection that others seem to get, then that means that he let all of that stuff happen to him for no reason. His agency in his training and everything that he's worked for becomes meaningless. His struggles pointless. ]

Here, in Aefenglom? You are no monster anymore, you are a Witch. The monster here is me. And you know what? Even now that I have been transformed into a monster, I can love others and myself. You are not a monster, but even if you were, it would not change anything.

That's because the people of this land are moronic. It's not your physical features that define what you are and what you are not. Not all denizens of their respective worlds are strictly human-looking, after all.

[ Funny that he is, essentially, tellng Marie that she isn't some monster. Not really. The outward appearance isn't one that matters. ]

You are still capable of being the same person you've always been. What I am saying is that even if I am a Witch here, I am still an incomplete being. I cannot be more than what I am and what I am is a creature of Darkness.

Fine then. You are a “creature of Darkness” and a monster if that is how you insist to call yourself. I can respect that. This is how you defined yourself after all.

What I do not understand is why being these things would also mean that you are somehow less than others. Everyone is different but everyone is their own person. So are you.

Because I am incomplete, perhaps? I am less in the sense that my heart - or soul - lacks its other half.

Is it really this big of a deal? Instead of focusing on what you are missing, maybe pay more attention to what you do have?

Would you want to focus on only what I have, if our roles were reversed? Only negative emotions and Darkness?

[ It isn't about the glass being half empty or half full. It's about the contents of the glass. ]

My Master didn't have to tell me this, Marie. If one separates the Light and Darkness from the heart, one half will contain that Light and the other the Darkness. Ventus holds the light so it only holds that I have the Darkness.

[ And all this without mentioning the Unversed. That would only strengthen his position in his mind. ]

[Marie admittedly does not know his whole situation. She wants to know more - so she can understand him better.]

Okay, so you are Darkness, negative emotions and just a part of a whole. This is what you are and how you describe yourself. This is also what brings you pain and makes you suffer. Is that how it is?

Yes. It is what I am though I am not sure where you get the pain and suffering from.
