The short version without context is, I'm going to sneak into your room and put a treat under his pillow while he sleeps
I just need you to not tell him that's going to happen
and not freak out if you wake up and I'm in your room

The context doesn't actually make that MUCH less weird, to be honest

Yeah.
Traditionally you put the tooth under your pillow and the "tooth fairy" takes it and leaves you some money.
Seems like you guys didn't have that
or at least don't remember if you did
so I thought it'd be fun to surprise him?

I don't recall ever doing that but there are a lot of things I can't remember.
