[At least they have a whole cake to share now! Sora sits back and he is still smiling like a stupid.]

Yeah, I think that's pretty normal. It just proves that you still like me.

[They both like seeing the other one react to things. They are happy when the other one is happy. It's pretty simple.]

[ It's true. Vanitas had thought that some of these feelings would go away in time. That they would diminish or that he would grow numb to them. That's not what's happening though. If anything, the feelings that he has for this brat just seem to intensify. ]

Sora. Is it really? Because I really do feel like I can't get enough of you. Shouldn't it be the opposite? Shouldn't I reach a point where I'm satisfied?

[Sora looks up at Vanitas and his expression softens.]

that part I don't know, this is the first time I've ever loved someone this much too. I don't know when it stops.

[He tilts his head as he fastens the new bracelet to his wrist and touches the little star charm.]

Maybe it's supposed to feel like this.

[ He scowls, as he often does when Vanitas is in thought. Then he breathes out. Sora doesn't know. But Sora doesn't know because he hasn't had the experience. Vanitas is Sora's first and only experience. And that is satisfying.

Vanitas can deal with that. ]

Maybe it is. I'm all right with it if that's the case.

[Just like Vanitas, the other boy is all of his firsts. There is no other way Sora can tell how deep these things are supposed to go. But he's not scared. He's never been scared of anything with Vanitas.]

I'm alright with it too.

[He grins. Sora then holds up the forks!]

So, time for cake now?

[ Meanwhile, Vanitas is someone that is scared. Or, rather, he'd call it overwhelmed rather than scared. The boy still has issues admitting to emotions like fear. However this is something normal too. Feeling this way about things that are new and unknown territories?

And he's learning that it's okay to be. He just has to allow those moments too. ]

I've already had a bite. I don't know where you've been.

Well then I've got some catching up to do, huh!

[He takes his fork and he's just going to snatch up a bite on it! Not even going to bother taking a slice on a plate like a proper human being.]

Are you really going to make this a race? Is that what we're doing?

[ Which means that Vanitas is going to go back to taking his fork. And making the attempt to shovel more cake into his face as well. ]

[Sora laughs and reaches out to grab the smudge of chocolate on the corner of Vanitas' mouth.]

Says you, I'm pretty sure I could beat you in any sweets eating contest!

[But maybe don't scarf down this lovely cake he worked so hard on.]

Probably not, Cottontail. How long has it been since you've actually been able to pig out on sweets?

[ He gives Sora a shove with his shoulder. Just a nudge, smirking with the fork in his mouth. ]

Maybe we should do it some day.

Hey, I'm doing pretty good at that kind of thing now that I can eat normally!

[He laughs and nudges back.]

But that'd be fun.

Then Imma hold you to that, Sora. Then watch you cry as I beat you.

[ Vanitas snorts. ]

Until we both get sick and likely have to clean up after ourselves.

[ Which just makes him cackle. Then drop his head to Sora's shoulder as he munches on cake. This is... A good way to spend this day. Just the two of them. Cracking jokes and then probably getting a little more active later.
