[ The kiss doesn't throw him off. Ven is rather affectionate and Vanitas doesn't mind? But as he leans over and sees what it is that Ven's talking about... Well then he blushes and huffs.

[he laughs a little]

I didn't mean to, honest! I was just reading some posts and saw that, so...

[gently nudges van]

I'm just happy, that's all.

It's not that big of a deal. Not sure why you'd get all weepy about it.

[ Can he tsun any harder Ven? ]

but he does try and stop tearing up, brushing some of the tears away and nuzzling van's neck.]

I guess you're right... Sorry, I guess you just gotta deal with me being sappy and stuff.

[ So now he'll take a moment to wrap an arm around Ventus. What a dork. ]

So just another regular day then?

[ven hugs him back, burying his face into his neck. he makes an annoyed sound.]

I don't cry every day...

[ Van gives an amused snort. ]

Pretty sure I water half the plants with a container called "Ven's Tears."

[excuse him while he blows a raspberry on van's neck.]

Don't be mean to me!

[ At first he is just going to laugh - asdfasdf is that a fekkin raspberry!? Fine then. Vanitas grabs at Ven's arms and rolls him. Gonna pin him down...

And get revenge by tugging Ven's shirt up and giving a raspberry right there on the stomach. ]

[callmeven]

H- Vanitas! [his shout is cut off by his own laughter, trying to squirm away from van's raspberries. he pushes at van's head, giggling.]

Stooop...!

[darkcharge]

[ Which, ultimately, puts Van in quite the position! ...Right between Ven's legs.

There are no raspberries here. But don't mind Van if he looks up at Ven real quick before nuzzling the area. ]

[this was meant to be a pure thread.. what happened...

ven doesn't expect that at all and nearly jumps when he feels van nuzzling him there.] Ah-! V-Vanitas?

[ It still can be. Even now Vantas just sort of leans his cheek on Ven's thigh. ]

Yes, Venny?

[ven looks down at vanitas with flushed cheeks and a softened expression. he runs his fingers through messy, dark hair.]

I love you.

[darkcharge]

[ Funny how those three words just turn his world upside down. It's not the first that Vanitas had heard them. Not the last either. Instead he just hides his face in Ven's thigh for a moment.

Concepts like love elude him still. He can identify affection now. Things that he likes and dislikes. There are things and people that are important to him now at the very least. ]

Ventus.

[ He shifts again, this time practically straddling Ventus as he cups his other half's face and gives him a pretty chaste kiss. ]

I... I care about you. You're important to me.

[ It's the best that he can offer at the moment. But at the same time he doesn't really feel inclined to be this close to anyone else. ]

[ven smiles up at vanitas as he moves to straddle his waist and kisses him back eagerly. he sets a hand over van's at his cheek and reaches up to run fingers through dark hair, stroking his thumb over his cheek.

his heart feels close to bursting with love and he looks close to crying again.]

You- You're so important to me too, Vanitas... I love you so much. [and here come a few tears, choking up.] I'm really proud of you.

[darkcharge]

[ Geez Ven! There is absolutely NO NEED for any waterworks here. No reason. Whatsoever. Cue Vanitas just kind of. Pushing them aside. With his thumbs. ]

Come on... Do you really have to cry? That's more embarrassing than you being this mushy about it.

[ Inwardly, Vanitas is preening. ]

[there is ALWAYS a need to be weepy. as van wipes away his tears ven turns his face to kiss at his palm.]

Guess you'll just have to be embarrassed of me, huh?

[still he gives vanitas a watery smile.]

I just love you a lot, that's all and it makes my heart feel all... full?

[darkcharge]

Believe you me, I am. On so many levels.

[ However he doesn't seem to be awfully inclined to get up at the moment. Nope. Vanitas is pretty content where he is.

Silence does fall between them, though. Mostly because of Ven's statement. ]

I... I know it does. I haven't felt as empty myself lately.

[callmeven]

[he laughs a little at that, sniffling.

the silence is comfortable between them, ventus content with brushing his fingers through vanitas' hair and stroking the hand against his cheek.]

Really? [he tugs van down to give him a small kiss, brushing their noses together.] Is it okay?

[darkcharge]

[ And, of course, Vanitas is rather comfortable himself. He leans into the touch. Then Van just sort of melts against Ventus, basking in the attention. ]

Is what okay?

Your heart not feeling so empty. I know sometimes it can get... overwhelming for you.

[nuzzling at his cheek, he gives him another soft kiss. he tucks some of that dark hair away from his face.] You... are my most precious person, Vanitas.

[darkcharge]

[ This is fine. Completely fine. His hand rubs small curls on the small of Ven's back. His brows knit together for a moment as he closes his eyes. ]

It still does, sometimes. Not as often anymore. There are still things that I don't think about because no matter what I'll get too worked up over it. But it doesn't hurt like it used to.

[ He knows what he means to Ventus. In his heart, anyway. His mind does wonder, at times, when things are going to fall apart. Things have been too good for too long. Something has to give, right? ]

I'm glad. [brushing a thumb over his cheek, ven takes a moment to study vanitas' face like this. eyes closed, expression softer. he feels overwhelmed in his own way, his heart fit to bursting with just barely enough strength to tap it down for vanitas' sake.]

I know maybe I shouldn't say it, but- I really like living here now. This city feels like home because you're here with me. Even if weird stuff happens all the time...

[darkcharge]

[ He leans into the touch with a little sigh. It feels nice like this. And while yes, he can feel Ventus' emotions swirling and about ready to erupt. But there are plenty of times where it's like this. ]

I feel the same way. At the end of the day, I don't want to go back.
