Wataru doesn't seem to have any self-confidence and is uncertain about being successful when it comes to being able to perform magical feats. Vanitas, of course, decides to chime in. That's where things take an odd turn. Instead of being insulted, Wataru is encouraged. This throws Vanitas off and their entire conversation spirals into territory that probably should be left alone.
Vanitas attempts to break his mirror. Aymeric forcibly pulls Vanitas away, considering the act dangerous towards himself and others. He has other ideas on how to redirect that anger. Unfortunately that "redirect" seems to be hoisting Vanitas off of the ground an into his arms. Vanitas doesn't know how to feel about this...
While following Aqua around, Vanitas naturally gets into an argument with her. She learns a few things about him, but ultimately the two can't see eye to eye on anything. Vanitas departs scoffing at how naive she still is.
Sparring. Sparring for Caspar, anyway. Vanitas has too much energy that he needs to rid himself of. Caspar is willing so why not? Things don't really go as well as planned...
While passing by, Vanitas hears a story being told of Light and Darkness. Interested, he talks to the storyteller himself. Emet-Selch and Vanitas speak about Light and Dark and broken things that should be whole once more.
The two halves meet for a second time. Ventus still remembers nothing and Vanitas isn't so keen on wanting what he believes to be Ven's pity. Kind words does not mean that Vanitas is going to just bond with his other half. He just wants to be left alone.
The Dark Knight meets Darkness in the form of a brat that is just taking his frustrations out on the people of this world in general. She doesn't approve, of course, but that doesn't stop her curiosity from taking hold. Vanitas is only too happy to feed into that so she stops attempting to get him to quit.
A conversation about the nature of people. And mold, apparently. Now that Vanitas knows the source of what is ailing this world he... Will do nothing, of course. He ponders on the nature of this mold while Endiku sees fit to question his feels on friendship.
Both Vanitas and Emet-Selch share very similar opinions on the nature of people and the Darkness that lurks in their hearts. They also converse about the nature of those that fight for the Light and how blind they really are to their own double-standards. All this occurs while people are suffering around them and neither seem inclined to lift a finger to help.
